Spring Break

We thoroughly enjoyed our Spring Break "staycation." Here are some pictures to help recap our not-so-eventful week (which was absolutely fabulous!)

Saturday and Sunday were lazy days spent around the house.

Enjoying a lazy Saturday morning.

Having some playtime after our Sunday afternoon nap.

Spending some time at Nonnie and G-Daddy's.

Trying to use her bumper pad as a pillow. (I've caught her doing this a few times. I was just lucky enough to capture it this time).

Bailey did not exactly have Spring Break like Sidney and me. He worked most of the week. Sidney and I enjoyed our day at home on Monday. We may or may not have spent the day in our pajamas (and hers just might be Christmas pajamas). I was able to get several things done around the house. Sidney spent a lot of time "exploring."

Reading her book about wild animals in the hallway.

She wandered into our bedroom and found Daddy's shoes (after stopping to play with the door stopper right behind her).

She discovered her reflection in the dishwasher.

Both hands have toys but still trying to get that drink of water.

Tuesday was another day spent at the house (no complaints here!) I did a little more "work" and then pampered myself by painting my toenails and fingernails while SK napped.

Wandering around the kitchen.

Helping me with dishes.

She's also discovered her reflection in the oven and sometimes tries to pull up on that handle.

Sidney spent the day with Nonnie and G-Daddy on Wednesday. I had a few errands to run and then did some shopping at the consignment sale at Pleasant Hill.

Her foot tends to slip out of these pajamas, especially when she's crawling around.

Right after we got home from Nonnie's, I put her in the living room to play while I did a couple things and this was her reaction. She pitched a fit!! Sooo put on. Luckily, it did not last long.

Still a little mad...

Just a few minutes later, all better.

We ran to Sonic after dinner for a mini blast and she was out by the time we got back home.

Sidney spent the day at Grandma and Grandaddy's on Thursday. I spent the day cleaning and getting the house in order.

Friday was another day spent at home doing little to nothing. Bailey went to Jackson Friday around lunch. Later that afternoon Nonnie and I took Sidney to the park to see how she liked the swing--she LOVED it! That evening Sidney and I went to Nonnie and G-Daddy's for a little bit.

"Hey!"

Just a swinging.

Content as can be.

Sidney and I hung around the house a little more on Saturday morning. Then we went back over to Nonnie and G-Daddy's since Aunt AB was in town. Bailey came home Saturday evening. Everyone came over to Bailey's parents and we all enjoyed some yummy shrimp. (Thanks Uncle Mark!)

Playing in her room while I put away her clothes.

"Helping" me put away her clothes.

Enjoying some time outside while the shrimp is being cooked.

I am so thankful for a job that has a Spring Break. I enjoyed every minute of my time, especially the sweet time spent with Bailey, Sidney, and our families.

10 Months

Weight: 18 lb. 6 oz (as of 2/21 at the doctor--the 32nd percentile)
Height: 27 1/2 inches (26th percentile)

Clothing: 9-12 months in clothes and a size 1 in shoes
Diapers: Size 4

Feeding: Sidney nurses (or gets a bottle) 4 times a day. She is eating food 3 times a day. Typically she has cereal/oatmeal and some fruit/yogurt in the morning, a veggie and some fruit/yogurt at lunch, and dinner varies depending on what Bailey and I are eating.
Hair/Eyes: Light brown hair; fuzzier some days than others. Beautiful dark brown eyes.
Teeth: Still just one!
Sleep: Sidney is a great sleeper. Her last feeding is around 7:15/7:30 and she sleeps until 6 during the week (when I get her up). So far, she seems to understand the concept of sleeping in on Saturdays. We'll typically get up between 7:30 and 8:30 depending on what the day holds.
Fun Stuff:
-Sidney loves playing peek-a-boo. She has started playing it by herself and will sometimes start playing if you ask, "Where's Sidney?"
-She searches for anything she drops and sometimes finds it
-She LOVES to eat--pretty much anything. And it often seems as her stomach is an endless pit!
-She enjoys feeding herself little finger foods. Yogurt bites tend to be her favorite--she goes after those first.
-Sidney will crawl on her knees some, but if she really wants something she's going to army crawl to it.
-Her favorite "toy" is her socks.
-She has just started laughing out of the blue. We were at dinner with some friends and Sidney would just start laughing out of nowhere. It is absolutley adorable!
-Sidney's first word was "da-da." She says "da-da-da-da, etc." all day long but on several occasions when she has seen Bailey, she has said, "da-da" with lots of excitement in her voice.
-She will look around if you ask where's Mama, Dada, Lula, G-daddy, and usually find them.
-Sidney had her eyes checked a couple weeks ago. While waiting for our appointment, she has lots of fun entertaining everyone in the waiting room.
-She enjoys watching Wheel of Fortune
