35 Weeks

Size of Baby: The size of a butternut squash; over 18 inches long and about 5 1/4 pounds

Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity clothes.  Due to this lovely feet swelling, I will mostly be wearing flip flops from here on out.

Gender: It's a girl--Sidney Katherine (we're not real sure if we will just call her Sidney or Sidney Kate)

Belly Button In/Out: In, but slowly trying to work its way out

Movement: She's most active when I get in bed at night. She does not like when I lay on my left side. I think she's starting to run out of room as she's really been pushing here and there.

Sleep: Every night is different. Some nights it's easy to get to sleep, others not so much. I'm still getting some sleep though.

What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach; simple, mundane things such as bending over easily or putting my shoes on easily; not having to go to the bathroom constantly

Cravings/Aversions: No aversions. Anything has sounded good this last week.

Symptoms: Backaches and tired feet, all depending on what I've done that day and where/how I've been sitting. The swelling in my feet is starting to get worse; it is mainly my left foot that swells.

Best Moment This Week: We had some maternity pictures taken. I got her bumper pad monogrammed and I'm close to having it finished (if I can just find the time to sit down and work on it!)

What I am looking forward to: We will have another ultrasound at next week's appointment!! Also, we have 2 showers next week! Continuing to work on her bedding and her room--it's coming along (slowly).

Showers

A few weeks ago I met up with some of my good friends for dinner and a little shower for Sidney. Her "aunts" have already begun spoiling her lots and lots. Here are a few pics.

Lots of goodies!

Then a week or two later we had a shower with our Sunday School class. We got a little start on diapers, wipes, and diaper rash cream in addition to the things in the picture below.

We are so blessed to have such sweet family and friends. I can't wait for the other two showers--one at school and one hosted by some friends from church. Sidney Kate is already one loved little girl!

34 Weeks

Size of Baby: The size of a durian (???); almost 18 inches long and about 4 3/4 pounds

Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity clothes. I found a few spring things in my regular clothes that I may be able to wear for another week or two. As far as shoes go, I may only be able to wear flip flops from here on out. I went and bought another pair this weekend for that reason.

Gender: It's a girl--Sidney Katherine (we're not real sure if we will just call her Sidney or Sidney Kate)

Belly Button In/Out: In

Movement: She's starting to slow down some. She's most active when I get in bed at night. She does not like when I lay on my left side.

Sleep: Every night is different. Some nights it's easy to get to sleep, others not so much. I'm still getting some sleep though.

What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach; simple, mundane things such as bending over easily or putting my shoes on easily; not going to the bathroom every 20-30 minutes

Cravings/Aversions: No aversions. Anything has sounded good this last week.

Symptoms: Backaches and tired feet, all depending on what I've done that day and where/how I've been sitting. My feet (mostly my left foot/ankle) have started to swell some.

Best Moment This Week: Another good check-up. We will have another ultrasound at our appointment in 2 weeks. And ordering a few things for newborn photos!

What I am looking forward to: Continuing to work on her bedding and her room--it's coming along (slowly). This week I'm working on the bumper and bedskirt along with painting a few things for the room.

Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity clothes. I found a few spring things in my regular clothes that I may be able to wear for another week or two

Gender: It's a girl--Sidney Katherine (we're not real sure if we will just call her Sidney or Sidney Kate)

Belly Button In/Out: In

Movement: Still fairly active. She had a big case of the hiccups the other night. She continues to dig into my ribs on my right side throughout the day

Sleep: The last few nights have not been great. It's taken awhile to get comfortable enough to fall asleep.

What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach; simple, mundane things such as bending over easily or putting my shoes on easily

Cravings/Aversions: No aversions. I've been really thirsty and have almost made a trip to Sonic daily. I've had a craving for sweet tea.

Symptoms: Backaches and tired feet, all depending on what I've done that day and where/how I've been sitting

Best Moment This Week: We found out that Bailey's cousin and her husband are having a girl! There will be three baby girls at Christmas this year--lots of fun!!

What I am looking forward to: Continuing to work on her bedding and her room--it's coming along. This week I'm working on the bumper and bedskirt along with painting a few things for the room.
