Weight: Somewhere around 20 lbs.
Clothing: Mostly 12 months in clothes; some 18 month tops; size 1 in shoes (she mostly just wears shoes on Sundays to church; she's outgrown the other casual pair she had and all the others are too big!)
Diapers: Size 4
Feeding: We are bottle free as of this weekend! A few weeks ago I thought we'd try to go without the bedtime bottle; Sidney didn't seem bothered by it so several days later I didn't give her her morning bottle. That was successful too. Then in the last week and a half we cut out the last two. She doesn't seem to notice that they're gone at home, however, Mrs. Mae in the nursery said she's gotten a bit fussy when she's seen the other babies with their bottles!
Sidney is still eating great. Loves anything and everything. We're trying out several sippee cups to see which one she likes. She doesn't quite know how to hold it herself and drink from it but is (now) typically willing to drink from it if you help her.
Hair/Eyes: Light, light brown hair. It's slowly coming in a little at a time. Beautiful brown eyes.
Teeth: Two bottom teeth. We thought Sidney might have been teething last week because she was drooling like CRAZY, had the slightest fever here and there, and she just wasn't herself. But now she is back to normal and we have no new teeth.
Sleep: Sidney continues to be a great sleeper. She goes to bed around 7:15/7:30 and sleeps until about 6/6:15 (during the week). On the weekends she tends to stay up a little later (depending on what we're doing) and we try to sleep in a little.
Fun Stuff:
-Sidney still LOVES to eat--pretty much anything. There has only been a time or two recently where she's denied food (signaling that she's full).
-She is still crawling everywhere. She likes to follow you or come find you if you're in another room
-She's not real interested in walking. She pulls up some and occasionally will take some steps if you hold her up.
-Sidney still really enjoys playing with her socks. In fact, Mrs. Mae has a special pair for her to play with in the nursery!
-She will clap her hands if she sees someone else and will sometimes start clapping if you say, "Yay Sidney!"
-She enjoys looking at books and is very eager to turn the page. When reading to her, I have to keep it at an arm's length so she can't turn the page until it is time.
-Sidney will look around if you ask where's Mama, Dada, Lula, Wrigley, Nonnie, G-daddy, and usually find them.
-She enjoys watching Lula and Wrigley through the window
-Nonnie taught Sidney to "give five."
-Her second favorite toy right now (after her socks) is still her barrels. She likes to pull them apart and try to put them back together. She'll also carry them in her hands as she crawls around.
Stay tuned.....birthday post to follow soon.
