One week has come and gone. We are all adjusting pretty well.
When we left the hospital on Monday, Sidney weighed 8 lb. 6 oz. At our weight check on Thursday, she was up to 8 lb. 10 oz.
A few things we've done this week: on our way home from the hospital Sidney had her first Sonic Happy Hour experience. Later in the week, we made her first trip to Oxford to the pediatrician's office to check her weight. Also, she's met many more friends this week. Bailey and I have been so thankful for all the friends that have brought us dinner.
So far, Sidney has been a pretty good sleeper. We continue to work at nursing (she tends to fall asleep very quickly).
We gave Sidney her first sponge bath this week and she tolerated it pretty well.
Lula wasn't really sure what to think the first day we were home. She started to whine/cry when she heard Sidney cry. She gets eager/excited when we have visitors, but other than that, she does pretty well. If someone takes Sidney out of the room, she likes to follow and make sure everything is ok. Bailey and I think she is going to be very protective. Wrigley, on the other hand, hasn't really noticed a change.
Nonnie (Bailey's mom) came over one evening so that Bailey and I were able to go to WalMart to pick up a few things. It was good to get out of the house for just a few minutes, even if it was just to WalMart.
